Zoe Legg

Having grown up on a beef farm, Zoe has always had an appreciation of where her food comes from and the hard work that goes into producing these products to the high British Standards that farmers adhere to. Equally, being a student at Harper Adams, she understands the roll that affordability plays in consumer choices.

Through her Instagram account: Let’s Go British, she is connecting affordability with quality British Produce that, in an ideal world, is also locally sourced. Zoe values where her food comes from and with lighthearted cooking videos has set out to spread these values, as well as the affordability, far and wide with the hope of engaging a wider range of the population to love and back British food.

Being selected as one of eleven NFU Student & Young Farmer Ambassadors for 2020/2021 was a real confidence boost. Having previously suffered with mental health, being given the opportunity to interact and discuss ideas on how to show case what the British Agriculture sector can do with likeminded people is an opportunity that she sees to be unrivalled.

Zoe believes that though working with campaigns such as the Love British Food movement, long lasting and effective transitions towards the consumption of more British produce can be achieved which will in turn improve the UK carbon foot print, local economies and community health.
